These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases of products and services from Mann Electronics (“we”, “us”, “our”) via this website or through direct engagement. By ordering products or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


1. About Us

Mann Electronics is a UK-based sole trader business providing electronic design, firmware development, engineering consultancy, and electronic hardware products.


2. Products

  • All products are supplied as described on the website at the time of purchase.
  • Our hardware designs may be open source; however, the physical products themselves are sold as goods and are subject to these Terms.
  • Minor variations in appearance or components may occur where functionally equivalent parts are used.

3. Services

  • We provide services including, but not limited to, electronic design, PCB design, firmware development, embedded software development, prototyping, testing, engineering consultancy, and technical support.
  • The scope of services will be agreed in writing before work commences.
  • Any quotation provided is valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
  • Delivery dates and project timescales are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
  • The customer shall provide all information, documentation, access, and assistance reasonably required for the performance of the services.
  • Changes to the agreed scope of work may result in additional charges and revised delivery dates.
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, services are provided using reasonable skill and care and on a reasonable endeavours basis.
  • The customer is responsible for reviewing and validating all deliverables for suitability in their intended application.

3.1 Payment for Services

  • Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We reserve the right to require deposits, milestone payments, or payment in advance for certain projects.
  • Work may be suspended if invoices become overdue.
  • Ownership of deliverables remains with Mann Electronics until all related invoices have been paid in full.

3.2 Intellectual Property for Services

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, intellectual property rights in deliverables created specifically for a customer shall transfer to the customer upon receipt of full payment.
  • Mann Electronics retains ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property, development tools, libraries, templates, know-how, and generic design techniques used in the provision of services.
  • Open-source software, libraries, and third-party components remain subject to their respective licences.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.
  • For international orders, prices are shown exclusive of any local taxes, VAT, import duties, or customs clearance fees applicable in the destination country.
  • Prices do not include delivery charges, which are shown at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed or accepted quotations.
  • Payment for products must be made in full before dispatch unless otherwise agreed.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • Orders are normally dispatched within the timeframe stated on the product page.
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, or customs processes.
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.

5.1 Import Duties, Taxes, and Fees

  • For orders shipped outside of the United Kingdom, you are considered the importer of record and are responsible for ensuring the products can be lawfully imported into the destination country.
  • You are responsible for paying all import duties, customs charges, brokerage fees, and local sales taxes that may be levied upon arrival.
  • These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost unless expressly stated.
  • If a shipment is refused due to unpaid import charges, any resulting costs may be deducted from any refund.

6. Returns and Refunds

6.1 Consumer Rights

If you are a UK consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

6.2 Change of Mind

  • You may return unused goods within 14 days of delivery for a refund.
  • Returned items must be in their original condition.
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

6.3 Faulty or Incorrect Goods

  • If goods are faulty or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of receipt.
  • We may offer a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

6.4 Services

  • Where services have commenced with the customer’s consent, refunds will not normally be available for work already performed.
  • If a project is cancelled by the customer, the customer shall pay for all work completed and expenses incurred up to the cancellation date.

7. Warranty

Mann Electronics warrants that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase.

If a defect arises within this warranty period, Mann Electronics will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective product or defective part of the product.

This warranty applies only where the product has been:

  • Installed correctly
  • Used for its intended purpose
  • Operated within its specified electrical, mechanical, and environmental limits

7.1 This warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:

  • Misuse or improper use
  • Operation outside stated specifications
  • Incorrect installation or wiring
  • Modification, repair, or alteration by anyone not authorised by Mann Electronics
  • Mechanical stress, impact, or environmental exposure beyond product ratings
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Use inconsistent with supplied documentation

7.2 Claim Process

  • Provide proof of purchase
  • Provide reasonable information regarding the fault

The customer may be required to return the product for inspection before a warranty claim is approved.

7.3 Limitation

  • Removal or reinstallation costs are not covered.
  • Labour costs are not covered.
  • Consequential or indirect losses are not covered.

7.4 Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.


8. Use of Products and Deliverables

  • Our products and engineering deliverables are intended for use by competent persons familiar with electronic systems.
  • You are responsible for ensuring suitability for your application.
  • You are responsible for any testing, validation, certification, regulatory compliance, and safety assessments required for your application.
  • We are not liable for damage, injury, or loss arising from misuse, modification, improper installation, or use outside stated specifications.

9. Open-Source Licensing

  • Design files, schematics, firmware, and documentation may be provided under open-source licences specified in the relevant documentation.
  • Nothing in these Terms restricts your rights under those licences.
  • Open-source licences apply to intellectual property and not to physical products unless expressly stated.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mann Electronics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic losses including loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, or data.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising from any product or service shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant product or service giving rise to the claim.

11. Intellectual Property

  • All website content, branding, logos, and non-open-source materials remain the property of Mann Electronics.
  • You may not use our branding, trademarks, or trade names without prior written permission.

12. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.


13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


14. Disclaimer

Where products are supplied for automotive or motorsport applications, they are intended for off-road, experimental, development, testing, competition, or other non-public-road use unless expressly stated otherwise.

Except as expressly set out in the warranty policy, all products and services are provided “as is” and the customer assumes responsibility for determining suitability for their intended application.

Mann Electronics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of its products or services.
